From discussions with SZ and their experience-base, the indication to me was that the larger turbos (2530/BB700)s were better matched to the flow of the 500 cam's profile. The low-end response will suffer very slightly, but the mid range and top-end will benefit dramatically. I assume others, probably with the 400+ cams, will chime in as well. I know you are well aware of the other factors as well (head work, manifolds, etc.). For example, I drove a BB700 car (.86) with 500 cams and STOCK manis and swore I could count to 100 before boost came in. That was clearly the wrong set-up on all accounts... SS
